Phone: 214.263.7028

As an operating partner of Crossplane Capital, Larry is responsible for working alongside senior management teams to create and implement value creation plans.  Once a transaction is closed, Larry supports Crossplane Capital’s standardized onboarding process and executes a 100-day post-closing plan that includes aligning the strategic roadmap with the value creation plan. Throughout the life of the investment, Larry supports the execution of high-value initiatives and coaches the leadership teams. Larry currently serves on the boards of portfolio companies TransAxle and Kaemark.

Before joining Crossplane Capital, Larry led Huron Consulting’s Interim Management Practice where he served in several interim C-level positions driving significant improvements in both profitability and liquidity. Prior to Huron Consulting, Larry held operational roles with GE/ GE Capital and J.Hilburn and served as a consultant with Alix Partners and Booz, Allen & Hamilton. Larry currently serves and chairs the audit committees for two public companies, HireQuest and Optex Systems. He previously served on the board of directors for Remy International and Arotech.

Larry began his career in the United States Navy, serving as the weapons officer on the USS Reuben James (FFG-57) homeported in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

Larry graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical and Materials Engineering. He also earned an MBA at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.

Outside of work, Larry enjoys spending time with his four grown children and his wife of 30+ years. He has traveled extensively and was fortunate to have lived in Germany with GE for three years. When home, he enjoys woodworking as well as fishing. He is moderately proficient at the former, and the latter is the source of much frustration. Larry frequently spends his Saturdays working on home construction for the Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity where he is a core construction volunteer. Prior to having children, Larry considered himself moderately intelligent, somewhat funny, and reasonably coordinated. His booming laugh can be heard from great distances.
